Legislators, family and friends of the late Vernon Dahmer gathered Friday at the State Capitol to pay tribute to Mr. Dahmer who was murdered 50 years ago as a result of his voting rights activities. Caelyn and Courtney are the great grandchildren of the late W.L.and Olivia Slaughter. Thanks to all friends and family for their participation in the fundraiser. We enjoyed all the holiday parties and programs and especially enjoyed the Lackey Convalescent Home Christmas Party. Family and friends enjoyed the festivities. to 3 p.m. Jan. 11-15in the Workforce Development Center on the main ECCC campus in Decatur. Classes will begin on Tuesday, January 19, and will meet from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for six consecutive weeks in the Sutphin Associate Degree Building.

Clinicals will also be required, with a date and time to be announced. The cost of the course is $766, which includes everything but a required TB Skin Test.
