Funeral services for Pauline Bates Porter, 74, were held at 3:30 p.m, Thursday, November 17, 1994, from the Ott 4c Lee Chapel in Morton, Rev.

Ronnie Jones officiated. Interment was made in the Ludlow Cemetery, Lena. Mrs. Porter passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 1994, at her residence, following an extended illness. She was a longtime resident of Morton.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Gloria Rushing of Forkville, MS. Mrs. Ann McHan of Dumas, Arkansas, Mrs. Linda Hughes of Tupelo, Mrs.

Sylvia Phillips of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four sons, Otis Porter, Jr. of Mobile, Alabama, Jimmie Porter of Ludlow, Jerry Porter of Forkville, MS, and Daniel Porter of Morton, MS; one sister Helen Jean Crotwell of Morton, MS; three brothers, Billy Ray Bates, Fred Bates both of Morton, and Wilbur Bates of Southhaven, nineteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Steve Smith, Glenn Crotwell, Mark Crotwell, Eddie Bates, Ricky Bates and Tim Crotwell. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements. Mr.

Jason Pace Funeral services for Jason Jerome Pace, 23, were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 1994, from the Thornhill Baptist Church. Rev. Rudy James and Rev. Lavern Summerlin officiated. Interment was made in the Thornhill Cemetery, Pelahatchie.

Mr. Pace passed away on Thursday, November 17, 1994, at Noblin Bridge Rd, following injuries sustained in a trucktrain accident. He was a longtime resident of Pelahatchie and a native of Jackson, MS. Mr. Pace was an equipment operator for Tom Deweese Mansdale and Excavation Company in Madison for a short time and he was a truck driver for Hawkins Trucking Company in Pelahatchie for several months prior to his death.

He was a 1990 graduate of Pelahatchie Public School. He was a member of the Concord Baptist Church. Graham Arender Funeral services for Craham C. Arender, 52, were held at 2:00 p.m, Monday, November 21, 1994, from the Ott Lee Chapel In Morton. Rev. Travis Polk officiated. Interment was made in the Morton Memorial Gardens, Morton.

Mr. Arender passed away on Thursday, November 17, 1994 at Singing River Hospital, following a sudden illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Morton. Mr. Arender was an employee for the Big Trucking Company in Carthage for the past 2 years.

He was a former driver for Trucking Company in Morton. Survivors include his wife, Ed-winia Murphy Arender of Morton, MS; his father, Arthur Arender of Tucson, AZ; two daughters, Mrs. Paula Ann Warren of Lena, MS and Mrs. Connie Harris of Bay Springs, MS; one son, Aaron Arender of Morton, MS; two step-sons, Chris Tucker of Morton, MS and James Tucker of Jackson, MS; three sisters, Ruby Jewel Sullivan of Scbastopol, MS; Juanita Easterling and Mary Jean Cornell both of Tucson, AZ; two brothers, Gerald Arender of Aztec, NM and Jimmy Arender of Milton, FL; seven grandchildren. The law, which took effect this summer, has apparently not been tried out yet in school districts. However, most officials say they wouldn't hesitate to turn in parents who don't have good reason for missing the mandatory conferences. Jimmy (Sonny) Savell, 46 were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 21, 1994, from the Ott and Lee Chapel in Morton. Dr. Tom Stevens Interment was made in the Lena Cemetery, Lena. Mr. Savell passed away on Friday, November 18, 1994, at Leake Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness.

Mr. Savell was a native of Attala County and had lived in Lena for the past ten years. He was a member of the Lena Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife. Ruby Savell of Lena; sons, Robert and Richard Alexander of Lena; mother, Jimmie Ruth Savell of Bartlctt, brother, William Bruce Savell of Ridgcland; sisters, Rhoda Evans and Shirley Edens of Bartlctt, Tenn.

Pallbearers were Jeff Rhincwalt, Wayne Oxner, John Lyle, Frank Sessums, Danny Wayne Weaver and Mike Sherman. Ott Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements. punish bad parents said Sen.
