LIEAP funds ready East Central Community Action Agency has signed a contract with the Governors Office of Energy Assistance to administer the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program for the elderly, handicapped and low-income households. The Program will begin January 3, 1984, taking appointments with the elderly and handicapped having preference the first three weeks. (Continued on I'age 8-A) Funeral services for Telly Ray Weaver, 64, were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 1983, from the Ott Lee Chapel in Forest.

Rev. Bill Fox officiated. Interment was made in the Jackson Memorial Gardens in Hinds County. Weaver passed away on early Tuesday morning at the St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

He was a native of Scott County and had lived in Brandon for the past five years. He was retired manager of the VA Credit Union, and had worked as Admissions Clerk also, having worked a total of 35 years with the VA Hospital. He was a member of the Lee Central Credit Union, was a member of the Parkway Baptist Church, the Jackson Touchdown Club and the Chamber of Commerce at Brandon. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Mrs.

Louise Weaver, Brandon; one daughter, Mrs. Teddie Jo Nolen, Tuscaloosa, one brother, J. W. Weaver, Jackson; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Regions, Jackson; three grandchildren.

Scott Harris Nolen, Mark Harris Nolen and Christopher Harris Nolen. Pallbearers were Tommy Gunn, Sammy Regions, Lefloy Mason, Henry Lee Mason, Ken Weaver and Dak-Weaver. John W. Crotwell Mr. John W.

Crotwell, age 60, died Monday, December 26, at his residence. Services will be held at 2: 00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, from the Chapel of Baldwin-Enochs Funeral Home with burial in Jackson Memorial Gardens. Reverend Richard C. Barth will officiate.

A native of Morton he had lived In Brandon for the past four years. Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Frances Angelia Spears, Hattiesburg; son, John W. Crotwell, Brandon; sister, Mrs. Louise Miles, Montgomery, Alabama; two brothers, Grover Crotwell, Crystal Springs and James Crotwell, Morton; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kery Hawkins, Larry Smilh. Craig Musgrove, Terry Crotwell, Kendall Crotwell and Stork Livingston. Meivin Johnson Funeral services for Meivin Johnson, 70, were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 1, at Lone Pilgrim M.B. Church in Hillsboro.

The Rev. C. E. Bell officiated. Mr.

Johnson passed away December 26. He is survived by his daughter, Cythia Robinson Johnson of Detroit, Michigan; two brothers, James Johnson of Pittsburg, California, and Joel Johnson of Forest; two sisters. Mrs. Essie Mae Greene of Pittsburg, California, and Mrs. Estelle Ragsdale of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; a very close friend, Ms.

Laura McAllister of Detroit, Michigan, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. p.m., Monday, January 2, 1984, from the Decatur United Methodist Church. Rev. Burt Edwards officiated. Interment was made in the Newton Memorial Cemetery with Ott Lee Funeral Home in Forest In charge of arrangements.

Mapp passed away on Sunday morning at hs home, following a sudden illness. He had lived in Decatur since 1948, formerly lived In Meridian, and was a native of Scott County. He was a sanitarian for the Miss. State Health Department, was a member of the Decatur Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School and was a member of the Board. He also taught school for twelve years.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lucille Mapp, Decatur; one son, David Mapp, Laurel; two brothers, Jerry Mapp, Forest and Marcus Mapp, Monroe, one sister, Mrs. Clara Alford, Lenior, one granddaughter, Pamela Mapp. Pallbearers were Clarence Blount, Webb Harrold, Reginald Thames, Wilson Taylor, Elmer Johnson, and Homer Hunter, all who were members of the Sunday School Class. L.

C. Westbrook Funeral services for L. C. Westbrook, 50, were held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 31, 1983, from the Ott Lee Chapel in Morton. Bro.

Ken Ware and Bro. Mike Ray officiated. Interment was made in theLakewood Memorial Park at Jackson. Westbrook passed away on Thursday morning at the Rankin General Hospital in Brandon, following a short illness. He was a resident of Brandon for the past 12 years, and formerly lived at Pelahatchle.

He was an electrician for G. C. Electric Co. and was a member of the North Brandon Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Mrs.

Sarah Westbrook, Brandon; two sons, Ricky Westbrook, Jackson, and Larry Westbrook, Brandon; five brothers, Willie Merle and Cortez Westbrook, both of Pearl, J. W. and Charles Westbrook, both of Pelahatchle, and James Westbrook, Atlanta, one sister, J. C. (Ruby) Tagart, Florence; three grandchildren, Sabrina and Karen Westbrook, Pearl, and Rene Westbrook, Brandon, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Ken Jonesy, Jimmy Walls, Leonard Martin, Orville Cobb, Ray Cobb, and Ricky James. Carroll S. Ware Funeral services for Carroll S. Ware, 71, were held at 2: 00 p.m., Saturday, December 31, 1983, from the Ott Lee Chapel in Forest. Dr.

Steve McDonald and Rev. Percy Campbell officiated. Interment was made in the Gasque Chapel Cemetery in Smith County. Ware passed away on Thursday afternoon at the St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, following an extended illness.

He wasa riverboat pilot for Delta Queen Steamboat Company and was retired from the Union Oil Company. He had lived in Pulaski since 1954 and formerly lived at Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of the Gasque Chapel United Methodist Church, was a Master Mason and member of the South Union Lodge No. 193, and was a Kentucky Colonel. Survivors include his wife, Mrs.

Cleo Ware, Pulaski; two sons, Bill Ware, Gulfport and Glenn Ware, Huntsville, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Edwlna Hurschmann, Jackson and Mrs. Rowena Post, Overland Park, Kansas; three grandchildren, one niece and two great-nephews. Pallbearers were J. A.

Middlebrooks, Joe Mack Martin, Al Underwood, Gerald Thompson, Jimmy Richardson and Jerry Richardson. Willie Flowers Funeral service for Willie Flowers, 87, were held at 2 p.m. on December 29, at Warren Hill Methodist Church in Louin, the Rev. Woodrow Hamilton officiating. Mr.

Flowers passed away December 24, In Lake. He Is survived by three step daughters, Mrs. Estella Moore, Mrs. Ester Ntckerson, Mrs. Odell McLaurin, all of Lake; one step son-in-law, Mr.

Robert Moore, one step daughter-in-law, Mrs. Anna Laura McLaurin, both of Lake; one brother-in-law, one sister-In law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Williamson, Louin; twenty-one step grandchildren, twenty-three nieces and nephews, many great nieces, nephews and friends. Mapp Funeral Home was in change of the service.

Mabel Aiken Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Aiken, 87, were held at 11: 00 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 1983, from the Ott Lee Chapel in Morton. Rev. J. Renfro officiated.

Interment was made in the Leesburg Baptist Cemetery in Rankin County. Mrs. Aiken passed away early Monday morning at the Rankin General Hospital, following a lengthy Illness. She was a resident of Jackson for the past 13 years, and formerly lived in the Leesburg Community. She was a member of hte Leesburg Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Joe Aiken, Jackson; two daughters, Mrs. Earnestine Dunn, and Mrs. Pauline Edwards, both of Jackson; one sister, Mrs. Virgie Bowling, Brownville, six grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers were Nolan Aiken, Mack Edwards, Dwight Irby, Don Stanley, Tommy Stanley and David Nimon.

Gilbert, pelahatchle, Braddls Chandler, Leesburg, Eddie Lee Prestage, Pelahatchle, Loretta Shaw, Pelahatchle; and twenty-five grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jerry Prestage, Johnny Wayne Hutchinson, David Knowles, Freddie John, Johnny Carnley, Jimmy Ashmore. Bradford Funeral Home was In charge of arrangements. Donna Marie Westbrook Funeral services for Donna Marie Westbrook, Infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Westbrook, of Route 1, Pelahatchle, were held at 3: 00 p.m., Monday, January 2, 19S4, from the Ott Lee Funeral Chapel In Morton.

Rev. R. C. Westbrook officiated. Interment was made In the Lodebar Cemetery In Rankin County.

Survivors other than parents include one brother, Charles Lee Westbrook, Route 1, Pelahatchle; one sister, Nancy Carol Westbrook, Route 1, Pelahatchle; grandparents, Mrs. Barbara Logan, Route 1, Pelahatchle, Ellis Lee Burnham, Dallas, Texas, Charles Westbrook, Pelahatchle and Mrs. Bonnie Fay Crowe, Route 2, Morton and great-great-grandfather. Vance Funeral services for Robert T. Vance, 52, were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 1984, from the Pine Ridge Baptist Church. Rev. Clifton Thornton, Rev. Mark McDonald and Rev.

Boman Giles officiated. Interment was made In the Pine Ridge Cemetery with Ott Lee Funeral Home In Forest In charge of arrangements. Vance died on Sunday afternoon following a tractor accident at Route 1, Conehatta, at his residence. He had lived at Conehatta most of his life, was a foreman with the La-Z-y Boy Company at Newton where he had been employed for the past 20 years. He was a veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Pine Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Sue Vance, Route 1, Conehatta; one daughter, Mrs. Glen (Rita Vance, Route 1, Conehatta; one brother, H. H. Vance, Crystal Springs; two sisters, Mrs.

J. D. (Syble) Simpson, Jackson and Mrs. Bud (Sally) Jones, Conehatta and two grandchildren, Dana and Casey Vance of Conehatta. Pallbearers were Jerry Simpson, Terry Simpson, Randall Jones, Billy Vance, Royce C.

Milling and Billy Chaney. Laura B. Purvis Funeral services for Mrs. Laura B. Purvis, 88, were held at 10: 30 a.m., Monday, January 2, 1984, from the Polkville Baptist Church.

Rev. Terry Williams and Rev. LeoTlmms officiated. Interment was made in the Beulah Cemetery In Smith County, with Ott Lee Funeral Home In Morton in charge of arrangements. Mrs.

Purvis passed away on Saturday evening at the Rolling Acres Nursing Home In Raleigh, following an extended illness. She was a resident of Morton most of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Polkville. Survivors include her husband, Albert Purvis, Raleigh; one son, Lewis Purvis, Morton; three sisters, Mrs. O. H.

(Eva) Winstead.Mrs.Pat (Myrtle) Wade, and Mrs. Luther (Grace) Means, all of Pelahatchie; one grandson, Lavon Purvis and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were D. C. Banes, Vern Banes, Garland Huff, Floyd Purvis, Lawrence Purvis and Edward Huff.

Dilmore, 75, were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 1, 1984, from the Ott Lee chapel in Morton. Rev. Terry Williams, Rev. Leo Timms and Rev. Barron Price officiated.

Interment was made in the Piney Grove Cemetery in Smith County. Dilmore died unexpectedly on Friday at the West Scott Baptist Hospital in Morton. A retired employee of Pelahatchie Poultry Company, he had been a lifelong resident of the Polkville Community, and was a member of the Polkville First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mis. Alma Richardson Dilmore, Polkville; two sons.

Jack Dilmore, Purvis and Tony Dilmore, Detroit, three daughters, Mrs. Aubert (Sue) Livingston, Pearl, Mrs. Mitchell (Dorothy) White, Brandon, and Mrs. Ronald (Charlotte) Hughes, Polkville; one brother, Elmer Dilmore, Polkville; four sisters, Mrs. Odell Harrison, Mrs.

She was a native of Chicago, Illinois, had lived in Jackson for the past 17 years, and formerly lived at Lake. She was a member of the First Church Christ Scientist In Jackson. She is survived by two sons, Henry Melichar, Forest, and George Melichar, Laurel; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Randolph Melichar, Allen Melichar, Steve Whatley, Glenn Campbell, Jimmy Koerber, and Howard McCrory. Albert Walsh Funeral services for Albert Walsh, 73, were held on Saturday, December 31, at Pine Ridge M.B.

Church in Decatur. The Rev. Purvis Moore, officiated. Mr. Walsh passed away December 24.
