The meeting was called to order by president, Edna Burkes. Lucille Myers, coordinator had a fantastic program planned consisting of Ha mp Valentine singing "He Touched Me" and Lamar Gate-wood, Jr.

brought two messages in song, "How Great Thou Art" and "The Old Rugged They were accompanied by Charles Palmer. Paul Valentine gave several guitar numbers which included "He's Still Working on Me" and "I'll Fly Away." Nadine Noel brought a "Lovely" devotion on Love. After a brief business session which Included a request from Olean Moore to those who are eligible for heat assistance to please apply as several Senior Citizens in the State had frozen to death. (Can you imagine that happening in Mississippi?) Nadine Noel read a humorous poem on "We wish we could buy parts for our body, just like we can for our Flivver" (automobile). After Alma Rhodes gave Thanks, the group gathered around the tables where Cupid was shooting arrows from several large portraits on the wall.

Those from Morton were: Mrs. Clifford Duncan (86 years young), Jewel Jones, Pansy Cooper and Laurie Lovett. Visitors were Mr.

1:19 and Mr. and Mrs. William Atley Durr were honored by their children on the occasion of their 45th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 22, 1984 in the fellowship hall of the Forest Baptist Church. The hosts and hostesses, Bill and Donna Durr and Mike and Janis Clark greeted the guests and presented them to their parents.

For this reception Mrs. Durr chose a sapphire blue dress with a white corsage of carnations. She also wore a diamond and sapphire pendant which was an anniversary gift from her husband. The reception hall was beautifully decorated with mixed spring bouquets highlighted by blue iris, in keeping with their sapphire wedding year. The registry table was covered with a white cloth with a lace overlay.

Mrs. T. G. Walton of Union, sister of Mrs. Durr, presided at the guest table.

The focal point of the reception nail was the table on which the cake was placed. The table held the beautiful three tiered anniversary cake, which white, decorated with delicate sapphire flowers and topped with white wedding bells. Mrs. Scotty Taylor of, Meridian and Ms.

John E. Coleman of Forest, nieces of Mrs. Durr served the cake to tlie guests. The punch was served from a beautiful silver punch bowl. Those serving the punch were Dacia Durr, granddaughter of the Durrs and Melissa Wade, a friend from Brandon.

The punch table was covered a white ruffled table skirt with a lace overlay. A point of interest at the end of the punch table were family portraits of Mr. and Mrs. Durr at the time of their marriage, pictures of their young family and pictures of their children's family and grandchildren. Others assisting with the reception for Mr.

and Mrs. Durr were some of their Eastern Star friends. Among those who helped were Mes-dames Betty Hosey, Fannie Buchanan, Nadine Noel, Imogene Brown, Larue Barnes and Dotty Smith.
