D. I. C. FOREST, MISSISSIPPI time to devote to homemaking. Her lovely Colonial home has been the scene of many social and civic functions.

Her two fine children are also a tribute to this outstanding woman. A daughter, Nell, is Mrs. Wade Barton of Tupelo, and a son, Gene, is a vice-president of the First National Bank of Dallas. She is also the proud grandmother of Gene Barton, age 7, who visits in Forest quite often. Truly, this woman has estab.

lished a home where not only members of her own family, but many others have felt the warmth and friendliness of a Christian family. A list of activities is only a partial picture of the character of Lavonne. Other things, which cannot be listed so easily, are her patience; her clear thinking which organizes a project from the beginning to the end before it is started; her dedication to things that are worthwhile and good; her many thoughtful deeds; helping a friend; notes of cheer; visits to the lonely all of these are the real Lavonne. We feel that she has found the Golden Key mentioned in our M.F.W.C. theme.

Hers is the Golden Key of service, because she has made Forest a better place in which to live and certainly she has contributed immeasurably to "better understanding" in her community and among her fellows!
