On Saturday, they all, accompanled by Frank Sturrup, went to Columbus where they were joined by Betty and Ronnie Stephens, Bron and Shelley of Clanton, Ala. and Mike Sturrup of Memphis for a weekend visit and the wedding of Mrs. Sturrup's niece, Melissa Sanders and Larry Watkins. The bride 1 is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

John Sanders, formerly of Harperville, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Claude Sanders. Rodney Greener of Memphis spent last week in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Greener.

Kenneth and Donna Melichar and Scott of Houston, Texas spent the weekend in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Melichar. Kenneth had been on a business trip to Florida while Donna and Scott visited in Magee with her parents. Sincere sympathy to the family of Mrs.

She was employed as a teacher for Marietta City Schools, Marietta, Ohio. Her husband, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Gaddis of Forest, is a 1974 graduate of Forest High School and attended Mississippi College and University of Southern Mississippi. He is employed by Selsmographic Service Corp.

The bride wore an Mid-Century Officers Named The Mid- Century Club, an affiliate of the Mississippi Federation of Women's Clubs, held its monthly meeting Tuesday, May 10 in Community Room of the Bank of Forest. Hostesses for the occasion were Mrs. Gene Walker, Mrs. Carl Howard Fountain, and Mrs.

Jimmy King. The meeting was opened with all members reciting the "collect for Club Mrs. Gene Walker, club president, called the meeting to order. Following a short business meeting Mrs. Hilton Boyles presented the months highlight on consumer tips 1 for home energy conservation.

Mrs. Jewel Smith, a past district and state officer and currently President of the Forest Fortnightly Club, conducted the installation of officers for the coming year. New Officers are: Mrs. Carl Howard Fountain, president; Mrs. Jerry Bustin, 1st vice president; Mrs.

Jane Sparks, 2nd vice president; Mrs. J. T. McAdory, secretary; Mrs. Lovelle Morris, treasurer; Mrs.

Gene Walker, parlimentarian; Mrs. John Johnson, reporter; and Mrs. William Wallace, historian. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned, thus concluding the 1982- 83 club year. The 1983-84 year will begin in informal ivory Victorian gown with Schiffli embroidery, chantilly type lace and ribbon lace.
