George A. Burge Services Held At Chapel Here Funeral services for George Allen Burge, 61, of Route 1, Forest, were held on Saturday afternoon, January 10, at 2:00 in the Ott Ue Chapel with Rev. Roy Lee Hamilton officiating. Interment followed in the HUlsboro Baptist Cemetery with Ott Lee Funeral Home in charge. Mr.

Burge passed away at his home on Friday morning following a sudden illness. He was a lifelong resident of Scott County and a member of the Hillsboro Baptist Church. There are not any known survivors. The pallbearers were Clyde Valentine, Roger Chambers, Austin Waldrip, Joe Bryant, V. L.

Gatewood and Rudolph Adcox. I. M. Lott, 68, ft. Buried Monday At Forest Hill Funeral services for Luther McLaurin Lott, 68, of Route 3, Brownfield, Texas, were held Monday, January 12, at 3:00 p.rru in the Forest Hill Baptist Church in Hinds County with Rev.

Kenneth Jinks officiating. Interment followed in the Lake-wood cemetery with Ott Lee Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Lott passed away in the Brownsfield General Hospital in Brownfield on Saturday following a sudden illness. He was a native of Sunflower County, had made his home In Lena before moving to Brownfield about six years ago.

He was a member of the Brownfield Baptist Church and employed as a carpenter. The survivors are his wife, mVs. Dolly Kay Dennis Lott; one son, Murrell Lott of Moss Point; one daughter, Mrs. Tommy Gould of Brownfield; one brother, J. L.

Lott of Jackson; one sister, Mrs. Artis Cooper of Jackson; nine gradnchildren. The pallbearers were Clovis Pepper, Kevin Pepper, Curtis Cooper, Lovain Lott, Howard Spier and Allen Stewart. Becky Rogers is a senior this year, the daughter of John M. Rogers and Jackie Clark of Morton. Becky plans to attend the University of s-sissippi upon graduation. She enjoys many hobbies in her spare time when she isn't busily engaged in her school activities. Among these are reading, playing the guitar, skiing and hunting.

She has worked on the paper staff for three years and edits the Elementary school paper too. She's been active in Beta Club for three years as well as the dramatics club, Club and Pep club. Miss Rogers plays French Horn in the Morton marching band and also serves this schoolorganiza-tion as majorette. She was Miss FBLA last year and was Scott County Junior Miss for 1969. She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Marton where she is President of her Sunday School class.

Dave Farris is in his Junior year at Morton High School. The son of Alton and Irene Farris, he too, is a very active student with long range plans on attending Mississippi State. Besides regular studies and good grades which enables him to be a member of the Beta Club, he also has served three years on the Student Council. He enjoys the activities afforded him in the Pep Club, Math Club, "100" Club, and the Science Club. Dave was president of his Freshman and Sophomore classes and is presently serving as Vice-President of his Junior class.
