OBITUARIES Hughey Harrison Funeral services for Hughey Edgar Harrison, 77, were held at Ephesus Baptist Church at 3 3:00 P. October 1977, with Rev. Bobby Warren and Rev. Kenneth Jones officiating. Burial was in the Church cemetery with Bradford Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Harrison died Saturday, October 22, 1977, at the S. E. Lackey Hospital i in Forest after an extended illness. He was a retired farmer, a Mason and a member of Ephesus Baptist Church. He was a life-long resident of Scott County.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances Harrison; 1 daughter; Mrs. Modena Gainey of Forest; 3 sons; Marvis Harrison of Alabama, Robert M. and B. W.

Harrison, both of Forest; 1 sister: Mrs. Clennie Lang of Meridian; 3 brothers; Clyde Harrison of Georgia, Pete Harrison of Forest, and W. O. Harrison of Walnut Grove; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were: Michael Harrison, Ricky Harrison, Jerry Harrison, Douglas Harrison, Jerry Arnold and Kendall Morrow.

Rev. James Chambers Funeral services for Rev. James Chambers, 66, were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 24, from the Hillsboro Baptist Church in Scott County. The officiating ministers were Rev. C.

C. Cornelius, Rev. John Hopper, and Rev. Herbert Eichelberger. Interment was made in the Hillsboro Cemetery.

Rev. Chambers passed away on Sunday at the Rush Hospital in Meridian, following an extended illness. He had been a Baptist minister for the past 25 years, having pastored the following churches, Sand Ridge in Scott County, Line Creek in Scott County, Springdale and County Line i in Attala County, and County Line in Wayne County. He had formerly lived in Kosciusko and State Line, had lived most of his life in Scott County, but had lived in Meridian for the past 18 months. He was a member of the North Crest Baptist Church in Meridian.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie Lee Harrell Chambers, Meridian; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Betty) Davis, Meridian; three grandchildren, Mrs. Shelia Walker, Mrs. Rachel Lynn McArthur, and Mrs.

Ginger Carol Trammell, all of Meridian; and five greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers were Junior Davis, Billy Ray Chambers, John H. Freeman, Milton Creel, Ronnie Creel, and Ricky Creel. Ott Lee Funeral Home was in Sneezer Gibbs Funeral services for Herman Lewis (Sneezer) Gibbs, 44, were held at 2:00 P. M.

October 25, 1977, at Bradford Chapel with Rev. Clyde Little officiating. Burial was in Eastern cemetery. Bradford Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Gibbs died in the V.

A. Hospital in Jackson, October 24, 1977, after an extended illness. He was a resident of Jackson where he operated a grocery store. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs.

Mildred Gibbs of Jackson; 1 sister, Mrs. Jean Amis of Forest; 1 step-son, Sonny Bennett of Walnut Grove. Pallbearers were: Durwood Tadlock, Jack Hollingsworth, Terry Judge, Jimmy Gibbs, Billy Gibbs and Charles Gibbs. George Stribling Funeral services for George Stribling, 63, were held October 22, 1977, at Truelight M. B.

Church at Walnut Grove. Rev. D. L. Wash officiated and interment was in the church cemetery with W.

F. Mapp Funeral Home in charge. A native of Leake county, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Stribling.

He joined Truelight church at age 14. He was a veteran of World War II. He lived in Milwaukee, for a time until he was called to mother's bedside where he nursed her until her death. Survivors are four brother, Lonnie Stribling, Detroit; A. T.

Mrs. Hollingsworth passed away on Saturday in Shreveport, following an extended illness. She was a native of Forrest County, had formerly lived in Scott County, and in Ruston, she had been a resident of Bossier City, for the past 10 years. She was employed as a ticket agent for Continental Trailways, and was a member of the Waller Baptist Church in Bossier City.
