This famous beast was on exhibition at Forest, Mississippi, and although his keeper warned the audience that he was dangerous, and had killed several persons, one of those present gave him some tobacco. Then he became irritated, broke from his chains, overset the lions' cage, liberated the lion, killed the lioness, pitched into the locomotive, and was himself killed.
