The Scott County Times, Wednesday, April 22, 1987 Ringgold news S1" ing. The plants were donated by Wilma White. Mrs. Sara Shaw celebrated her birthday, Sunday, April 12. Those enjoying the day with her were Keith and Karen Shaw and her husband Ernest Shaw.

Sunday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bustin and Mrs. Angie Lee, Stacy and John, Mr. and Mrs.

Cloy McCoy visited with this family. Mrs. Artie Robinson of Newton was a visitor of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky White, Gary and Randy Tuesday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard White were visitors of the Ricky Whites on Tuesday night. The descendants of the late E.G. and Ida Burkes will meet at the Forest Service Center for their annual reunion on the third Sunday in May.

The doors will be opened by 10 a.in. Come and bring some of your favorite dishes and enjoy a day of good food and fellowship. Hope to see you there. Some very good friends brought us some fried fish and all the trimmings Sunday night for supper. It was the best meal we'd had since we took the flu.

I must turn it in in order for our deepest sympathy. Mr. Baines passed away the last of the week and was buried on Monday. Sara Gay and Catherine Gardner visited with the Baines family at Morton Funeral Home Monday evening. This fine gentleman was the father of Irvin Baines.

Becky Hynes and Ashley of Hunt-sville, AL, are spending a while here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Burkes. Mr. and Mrs.

Marv White have moved into their new home on Hwy. 21, where the old Jack Sharp grocery was. Mrs. Bessie Walters is back in the nursing home at Raleigh after having been in the hospital at Magee. This dear lady is a very special friend to people in our area.

Mrs. Stitss Gardner Sr. spent a day with her sister, Mrs. Douglas Jones and niece Mrs. Irene Brown of Forest recently.

I just know these ladies had a very lovely day. Mrs. Lila Mae Putman is very proud to have her daughter Lois back Lois is making her home with her mother. Naomi Massey and Mrs. Arthur Massey visited with Mrs. Vada Primm, who is home from the hospital. Get well wishes to her. Billy Gordy is still a patient in Lackey Hospital.

He had surgery. Kenneth May came home from the Baptist Hospital Saturday, April 11, and is doing very well. He had a stroke. Mrs. Guy Graham, Sara Gay, and Guyrene Everett visited with James and Ruby McDill Thursday morning.

Mitchell Matthews visited with us Thursday evening. It was very enjoyable to listen to them talk about their school days at Old Ringgold School. We enjoyed these visits very much.
